The brief
Under 25 m², off the grid.
The MICROHOME Kingspan Edition, hosted by Buildner with Kingspan, asked for an off-grid modular home for a young professional couple, within 25 m² of floor area, anywhere in the world, with preference for solutions to economic, social and cultural challenges.
The MicroVerse Initiative flips the “tiny home” narrative and reframes the micro-home as a high-end investment vehicle for the ultra-wealthy. Each sphere comes with integrated PV, Skystream turbines and an optional Tesla Powerwall 3, while its social implications are deliberately left unresolved.

AeroNest Skyward
Sphere lifted on a slim pole above the clouds, with a private helipad, for when the road is optional.

AquaVista Seafarer
Coastal float unit with tidal anchoring and a panoramic view of the sea.

EarthScape Dweller
A sphere set into the ground under a planted roof, warm inside and hidden from the outside.
Deep
AquaSphere Explorer
Transparent observation deck below the surface, with a pressurised habitation core.
